  • CHOIR

    There are several different groups within the Choir, each with a particular style of ministry. They are TNT Choir: A group of 13—19 year olds who combine the genres of hip-hop and contemporary urban music. Worship Team: Their focus is to take the congregation into the presence of God through worship and praise songs. The worship team back the worship for every service. KICC South of the River Choir:-this is the combined worship teams of all the KICC networks within the South London area. They minister at special events and on Christian TV stations. Instrumentalists: Our instrumentalist minister along with the Choir during every service and special events.

    REHEARSALS AND TRAINING

    Rehearsals take place every Thursday and consist of prayer, vocal training, song demonstration, fellowship, exhortation song/ choreography rehearsal.

    All members undergo regular training and are encouraged to fully develop and maximise their ministries.

    With a future aspiration to tour around the world, and produce new praise and worship album, the KICC Music Division is joyfully achieving it’s vision to personally grow in spirituality, quality and unity while continuing to promote the essential qualities within God's people

  • AUDIO-TECHNICAL

    The Audio-Technical department oversees the PA systems, ensuring high quality sound during all services. The responsibilities of this department include:

    Setting up and operating all sound equipment on stage and front of house mixers.

    Carrying out full sound checks with all in-house and external psalmists.

    Maintaining all sound equipment.

    Ensuring industry standard sound equipment is purchase and/ or hired by the church.

    Ensuring all industry standard rules are adhered to by stewards, volunteers and contractors.

    VIDEO-TECHNICAL

    This team is responsible for the video recording of our service, conferences. This department also undertakes the following activities:

    Editing and post-production of our services.

    Liaising with external contractors to provide state of the art audio- visual facilities for major events and conference, such as lighting and staging.

    TAPE PRODUCTION

    Many of our services are reproduced for sale, thereby enabling everyone to take home a copy of a message they have enjoyed. CDs are all recorded live and are available to purchase immediately after each service.

  • PROTOCOL

    Serving the needs of the Resident Pastor and guest Ministers by actively helping them with all activities that will enable them to carry out their ministration and function effectively. Welcome guest Ministers at the point of arrival e.g. Airports and railway stations and escorting the guest Ministers back to their departure destination or other location as may be required.

    MEETERS & GREETERS

    Are on hand to give you a warm welcome to KICC THE OPEN DOOR. Are a friendly face to all the visitors and members coming to the service and they provide the first point of contact to everyone during church services and events.

    TRANSPORT

    Bring visitors and members to church services from nearby collection points. Assist the vulnerable to and from church and support the elderly and members with children as required. Provide information to visitors and new members if and when required.

    HOSPITALITY

    Provides all the refreshments, food and beverages required by guest Ministers during KICC THE OPEN DOOR’s events and are responsible for the hospitality of members and attendees during church programmes.

    USHERS

    The Ushers are there to guide you to your seat, paying particular attention to the elderly and people with children or with special needs. They are also on hand to assist with any queries you may have about this service.

    TRAFFIC

    Ensures that the cars are parked near the KICC site are parked in an orderly fashion. They guide the flow of traffic, working to ensure members and visitors are able to leave the site as quickly as possible with minimal disruption.

    JANITORIAL AND SETUP & BREAKDOWN

    Both teams maintain high standards of cleanliness while setting up and removing ad-hoc facility requirements.

    PEACE KEEPERS

    Their primary function is to maintain the peace and order within the vicinity of the church. The Peace Keepers’ motto is to be alert, available and flexible at all times.

    Their expertise is in anticipating a potential incident during the service and to discreetly avert it before it becomes a distraction.

    These stewards are on duty at all times. They wear distinctive uniform in order that they may be easily identified at all times; while they patrol the entire site to ensure that it is safe and secure. They work closely with, and support other departments to ensure that activities run smoothly.

    Peace Keepers also operate as Fire Marshals and observe health and safety standards with the main auditorium and external areas. Their responsibilities include the execution of effective crowd control strategies during major events.

    Peace Keepers are Public Relation Offices and aim to meet the needs of the congregation especially those who are visiting for the first time by creating a conducive, neighbourly and non- threatening atmosphere for congregants and the public.

    They are always available to give information and assistance. They operate as a team and work towards making your visit a blessed and pleasant one by always presenting a positive image of the ministry.

  • PRAYER DEPARTMENT

    The department aims for H.I.G.H: this stands for walking in Humility, Integrity, Grace and Honour; in the service of the Lord. It has four groups, with each focusing on one of the following: the individual, family, government and the church.

    The department meets everyday. Prayer requests are received from both KICC and other churches and from individuals.

    FOLLOW UP

    New converts receive support from the Follow-Up department, who pray with and counsel new converts either in their homes or over the telephone.

    NEW MEMBERS MINISTRY

    The New Members Ministry welcomes all first time visitors with a special New Members Luncheon where you are given the opportunity to find out what is involved in becoming a member of KICC The Open Door.

    CARING HEART FELLOWSHIP

    The Caring Heart Fellowship department facilitates closer fellowship opportunities as groups of up to 10 people meet together every Friday evening from 7pm - 8pm for Bible study, discussion and prayer. The Caring Heart Fellowship is intended to be a source of ministry to the community that creates an atmosphere for effective evangelism.

    PASTORAL VISITATION

    This department provides pastoral care to members by visiting them. It offers on-going spiritual and emotional comfort and support to people in crisis, in need or to those who have not been able to come to church for a particular reason. All members are encouraged to inform the church if they know of anyone who has not attended church for a while, by leaving the person’s details with any of the leaders or calling the church office.

  • The Outreach division seeks to fulfil the Great Commission given to the Church by the Lord

    Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20) by reaching the unsaved and the unchurched.

    EVANGELISM

    is an integral part of KICC The Open Door’s vision of Growing Big. Once we have reached out

    to the lost and the unsaved, we like to provide and environment that helps people grow in God’s grace. The following ministries support this vision:

    EVANGELISM EXPLOSION

    Every February and October all KICC Branches and Chapels embark on evangelism, alongside the main church. We go out into markets, shopping areas and local communities to spread the Gospel.

    SATURDAY SOUL-WINNING SQUAD

    The Saturday Soul Winning Squad goes out on a weekly basis to evangelise the local communities.

    GUEST WELCOME TEAM

    At KICC The Open Door, our guests are very important to us and they are given a very special welcome during our services and made to feel at home. After the service, a special reception is held where guests meet with leaders and are given more information about KICC The Open Door services and activities. There is also an opportunity to ask questions. Most of our guests always want to come back again because of the welcome and warmth they receive.

    ALTAR WORKERS

    Altar Workers assist officiating Ministers to minister to people when altar calls are made. The altar calls are normally for salvation of souls but also sometimes for healing or deliverance. Altar Workers primarily make people who come forward for ministration feel comfortable. They also minister to those who have given their lives to Christ by praying with them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and assuring them of their salvation.

    PRISON MINISTRY

    We are at work behind prison bars, reaching men and women with the Gospel. Transforming lives, so that prisons release disciples of Jesus Christ - not repeat offenders.

  • KING’S KIDS (Ages 2 – 12)

    The King’s Kids are for children aged up to 12 years .This is where we equip and develop our kids to live God loud through applied and relevant Bible teaching and incredible fun! With a huge team of dedicated, passionate and experienced volunteers, this is a place where your child will feel loved and grow in their knowledge of God as they learn and worship Him. Sessions run during the 10am service on Sunday and virtually via Zoom at 4pm, also on Sunday.

    TNT (Ages 13 – 18)

    TNT is a dynamic, vibrant and exciting youth ministry that engages, equips and empowers young people to live out their faith and have a positive impact on our society and generation. We are totally sold out for God, and chasing after HIS purpose for our lives. Our sessions are fun and full of exuberant worship for Jesus without limit

    ROYALS (Age 18 – 30)

    ROYALS is KICC’s Young Adult Ministry. It is a dynamic and powerful ministry focused on edifying, enabling and empowering Christians between the ages of 20 to 30 years old. It offers an array of exciting events from dance, drama and mentoring to bowling and business seminars. The group meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month on Instagram.     WINNING WOMEN

    This ministry brings women together and aims to create a refreshing, a renewal and re-focus the vision of KICC women. Through fellowship, interactive seminars, counselling and mentoring, this ministry aims to challenge participants to become the best they can be. Meetings are currently held for women who are single, married, aged over 50 or desiring to have children.

  • THE HOSPITAL MINISTRY

    The hospital ministry ministers to both the sick believer and unbeliever. The hospital ministry encourages the sick who are unbelievers to give their hearts to Christ Jesus; encourages and support people back to health and vitality; and maintains regular communication and contacts through prayer and sharing the Word of God. Our prayer structure is with scriptures, worship and the anointing of oil.

    THE WELFARE DEPARTMENT

    Seeks to attend to the needs of members in accordance with KICC The Open Door’s charitable objectives. A welfare fund is available as a last resort when, during a time of crisis, no other assistance is proven to be available.

    PASTOR-ON-CALL

    The Pastor-on-Call service is available to everyone. If you would like to receive counselling on an issue you can either call KICC The Open Door or come to the church office.

    BUSINESS DIRECTORY

    CBN is a ministry for business people and those interested in starting and running their own businesses. The group comprises of Professionals, Business men and women and aspiring business people. The ministry exists to develop and influence businesses to operate with integrity and empower the people of God economically. It is committed to raising “apostles in the market place”. The ethos of CBN is to do business God’s way.The group publishes periodic newsletter and maintain a directory for accredited businesses in the ministry.
